What we do
Services
Domestic and small commercial work, from a single dead socket to a whole house pulled back to first fix. Repairs, replacements, testing and new installations.

Fault finding & repairs
A breaker that trips at the same time every evening, dead sockets on one wall, lights that dim when the shower runs. Traced properly rather than guessed at.

Consumer units
Old rewireable fuse boxes and plastic boards swapped for a metal unit with RCD protection, then every circuit tested and the results written down.

Rewires, full and partial
Rubber or fabric cable, no earth on the lighting circuit, a back-to-brick refurbishment. Room by room where you are living in it, whole house where you are not.

Condition reports (EICR)
Rented homes in England need an inspection at least every five years. You get the C1, C2 and C3 findings explained in English, not handed over as a list of codes.

EV charge points
A 7kW home charger, with the incoming supply and the board checked first so you find out what is actually possible before you order the unit.

Sockets, switches & lighting
Extra sockets, USB points, downlights, dimmers, extractor fans, outside lights and the supply for a new kitchen island or induction hob.

Smoke & heat alarms
Mains-wired interlinked alarms for homes and rented property, put where they will pick up smoke early instead of where the ceiling was easiest to reach.

Garage & garden power
Armoured cable out to a shed, garage or garden office, with light, sockets and its own protection back at the board.

You describe the fault
What trips, when it trips, and what changed just before it started. A photo of the fuse board tells us more than you would expect.

You get an arrival window
A two-hour window rather than "sometime Thursday", and a message when the van is on its way to you.

You approve the price
The price for the whole job is agreed before anything comes out of the van. If something turns up behind the plaster, work stops and we talk first.

Out of hours
No power at all, a burning smell from the board, or water getting into a light fitting? The number is answered in the evenings, at weekends and on bank holidays. Out-of-hours call-outs cost more, and you are told the rate before we set off.
One thing deliberately left out
Where the registration details go
A real electrician's website names the competent person scheme it belongs to, prints the registration number, and links to that scheme's public register so a customer can check it in under a minute. It says who handles Part P notifiable work and how the certificates reach you.
Halden Electrical is not a real firm, so there is nothing here worth checking, and putting a number in this box would only be a number we made up. On your site this is where yours goes — and it is usually the single most persuasive block on the page.
